Performance management is the key to a successful school. This event provides leaders and managers with an opportunity to review the effectiveness of their procedures for monitoring the quality of teaching and learning and how well they create a culture of self improvement, reflection and the sharing and cascading of good practice.
We also look closely at the kind of strategies that are successful in tackling under performance and building confidence of those who are not performing well. This event will build in a review of the whole process of performance management from the statutory requirements to what constitutes good practice.
Appraisal is at the heart of the process of performance management, getting it right is an essential part of delivering the school development plan. This event will provide an in-depth look at how to use coaching as part of the lead up to the appraisal interview, the use of deep and rich questioning during the interview and the kinds of skills that will support line managers as they mentor and coach their teams towards achieving their objectives and helping to deliver the school's quest for improvement.
